The legend of the "devil's note"

In the early 18th century there was a strong belief among musicians regarding the fact that a certain note can call the devil, now commonly know as the flat 5th of the Pentatonic minor scale. The reason for this was the dark sound it created when played in unison with the major 4th. Surprisingly composers were banned from using this progression of notes in their compositions and this note progressions later became the base for metal/heavy metal music!!!
